LAUSD School Participants

Through the Network for a Healthy California—LAUSD, more than 7,000 teachers, school nurses and other school personnel provide nutrition education to more than 175,000 students every year.

From in-classroom tastings and samplings and school health fairs to student-led nutrition groups and physical activity demonstrations, these school community members are committed to providing innovative, hands-on educational opportunities for our students.

School nurses are some of the Network’s best advocates for the importance of eating more fruits and vegetables, and being more physically active every day. Currently, more than 100 school nurses participate in the Network. For more information, check out the links on the blue bar to the left.
